IG Authorieses Special Stop And Search Operations

 The Nigerian Police, Inspector General Mr Solomon Arase has given order to carry out stop and search on the roads and highways across the country. In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer,CSP Abayomi Shogunle saying that the directive is sequel to intelligence report before the IGP. Read more



"The general  public is advised to corporate with Police Operatives, by providing answer to questions that may be asked , aw well as allowing their vehicle to be searched' he said in his statement.

He also stressed that during the operation emphasis would be place on roads in and out of the major cities and towns.

He therefore urge Every citizen to bear with the Police Force during the operation which is going to be a measure to address temporary  issues contained in  the intelligence report.

Mr Abayomi said the measure was in  no way a return of roadblocks in the country and therefore urged citizens to report to the nearest police station, unprofessional conduct by any police personnel
