Hello ladies, this is one topic i have always been planning to discuss for a long time now.But it seems being a victim and trying to find ways of treating has kept me silent ...... but thank God am achieving result at the moment with the little organic therapies i have been engaged with recently. C. Orange Juice; You can also use fresh orange juice for decreasing wrinkles around the eyes. Dip a cotton swab in fresh orange juice and use around them twice daily, morning and in the evening. Ensure you do not get the fresh orange juice in your eye. After a few weeks, you will find a recognizable decrease in line and wrinkles.

Ini Edo Speaks After 3 Years of Failed Marriage

Nollwood actress Ini Edo has opened up on her failed marriage, saying she has no regret breaking up with her husband of six years.
Ini Edo got married to an American-based Nigerian businessman, Phillip in 2008. She walked out of the marriage in September, 2014, following accusations of domestic violence and cheating.

 Speaking on ‘Rubbing Minds’ a Channel Television programme, the actress cited  some irresolvable differences and incompatibility as the major reasons for the crash of her marriage.
Ini Edo said that closeness should have, may be, saved her marriage since her former husband was in America and she in Nigeria. According to her, “May be being together would have helped keep us together. Because it would enable us study and understand each other more. May be it would have helped but I’m not sure.”
Asked if her estranged husband was comfortable with her kind of job, she said,
“He met me an actress and I believe he was okay with that. Actually he complained. My work takes my time and interferes with so many things. “I tried to keep my (movie) roles as decent as possible when I got married.
But naturally, there are certain roles you won’t be allowed to play. Even when you are allowed to play them, you can reject them not just because of your husband but you got relations as well.”
Asked if her former husband’s family interfered in her marriage, she added,
“He was the last child, so family members will try to see if their child is doing okay. “I try not to regret (the time I spent in marriage) but I will say, it’s been an experience I have learnt a lot from. It made me a stronger person. It made me wiser and I think it actually made me more mature.”

Women Menstral Cycle and Its Body Changes

Yeah' this is topic for the ladies. You probably must have known quite a lot about your monthly menstrual cycle,like how often you see your period and how heavy or light they are.Lets look at your menstrual cycle and ovulation.Although in all of these discussion if you have issues with your monthly flow, is advisable you visit your health professional.

Women menstrual cycle periods vary but the most common cycle length is between 23 and 35 days. For most of us the length of time between the ovulation when the egg is released from the ovary is between 12 to 16 days. The first day of your menstrual cycle is the fist day of your period which is your (day1). and it usually last from 3 to 6 days  .You probably have noticed that if you have pains it will be worst  in the first few days  of your period. This happens because the hormones in your body is causing your womb to actively  shed  the lining that was built up in the previous menstrual cycle. I have heard severally by some of these drug hawkers that its not normal to experience pains during menstrual period. Its not true. It only becomes abnormal when is beyond 1to 3 day of your period.

Signs of menstrual cycle:
It has always been normal to experience some body changes while anticipating your menstrual cycle
Personal i have experienced transformation in body changes as the  year goes by. If i can flash back to my mid 20's and early 30's the experience was different  from what i experience today.Its a total different world of experience.
These are likely body changes you might have been experiencing which are normal signs of Menstrual cycle.

Adeosun:Nigeria is coming out of Recession

The Nigerian economy is gradually coming out of its worst recession in years, the finance minister, Kemi Adeosun, has said.
“Nigeria is coming out of recession; we are beginning to see the signs and we will come out to become stronger,” the News Agency of Nigeria quotes Mrs. Adeosun as saying.
Speaking at an Abuja Town Hall meeting, the minister also said the federal government is working to block wastages, increase GDP and embark on single window project execution.

Trials of Femi Kayode and Usman Nenadi Begins in June

A Lagos Division of the Federal High Court has fixed June 6th and 9th for the commencement of the trial involving Nigeria’s former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, over allegations of money laundering and criminal conspiracy.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday rearraigned Mr. Fani-Kayode, who was part of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election campaign, alongside Nenadi Usman, a former minister of state for finance on a 17-count charge of money laundering and alleged diversion of N4.6 billion.
Others charged include one Danjuma Yusuf and a company, Joint Trust Dimension Nig. Ltd.
The defendants pleaded not guilty before Justice Rilwan Aikawa, a new judge.
The judge had taken over trial after Mr. Fani-Kayode applied for the previous one, Muslim Hassan, to recuse himself from the trial on the grounds that he was the EFCC officer who signed a criminal charge filed against him in 2008.
The defendants had been arraigned before Mr. Hassan in June 2016, but Mr. Fani-Kayode had raised concerns over whether the judge would be impartial during the matter. when Mr. Hassan ordered the seizure of Mr. Fani-Kayode’s mobile phone after it rang out during proceedings, raised a red flag for the ex-minister.
The EFCC had prosecuted Mr. Fani-Kayode before Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia over allegations of money laundering to the tune of N100 million. At that time, Mr. Hassan worked as an EFCC legal officer before his eventual elevation to the bench.
After a trial that lasted seven years, Mrs. Ofili-Ajumogobia discharged and acquitted Mr. Fani-Kayode of all charges, a development the former minister said Mr. Hassan was unhappy about.

“It is not in dispute that I signed Exhibit FFK1 as far back as 2008 over nine years ago, as the then Head of Legal, Lagos office of the EFCC, prior to my elevation as a judge of the Federal High Court,” Mr. Hassan had said in the ruling announcing his referral of the case back to the Chief Judge for reassignment to another judge.
“But it must be emphasized that as at then, I never participated in the trial of the second defendant (Fani-Kayode) and at all material times during the pendency of that case.”
A few weeks earlier, Mrs. Usman had applied to the court for an order separating the charges against her from Mr. Fani-Kayode, and also a transfer of her trial to the Abuja division of the federal court for convenience.
On Monday, Justice Aikawa allowed the defendants to continue on the bail granted them by the former judge and adjourned till June 6th and 9th for trial and ruling on whether the case would be transferred to Abuja.

Court Orders Take over of Intercontinental Hotel to Sky Bank

 Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered Skye Bank Plc to take over a five-star hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, located at Plot 244 and 245 (now 52) Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The bank had dragged Milan Industries Limited, owner of the 361-room Intercontinental Hotel, to court over an alleged debt.

Skye Bank claimed to have granted loan facilities of $29.8m and N3.8bn to Milan Industries Limited to construct the hotel and that it raised an overdraft facility of N500m in favour of Milan Industries Limited “to urgently fund payments to contractors and importation of material required for completing the hotel project.”
The bank’s lawyer, Mr. Kunle Ogunba (SAN), however, claimed that Milan Industries Limited defaulted in the repayment of the loan to his client, which, he said, necessitated the suit.
“At the expiration of the tenure of the various facilities extended by the plaintiff, the defendant failed and/or neglected to liquidate the various facilities and same continues to accrue interest.

“The facilities availed the defendant have since matured and/or expired and the defendant has failed to liquidate same and failed to comply with various repayment plans of the principal and interest despite several magnanimities extended to it by the plaintiff,” the bank said.
Skye Bank said it was left with no choice but to appoint a receiver/manager in line with the registered deed of legal mortgage.
“The balance of convenience in the instant suit is in favour of the plaintiff/applicant whose funds are taxpayers’ monies which ought to be accounted back to the Central Bank of Nigeria,” the bank added.

Following an ex parte application, Justice Babs Kuewumi ordered Skye Bank to take over all assets of Milan Industries Limited including Intercontinental Hotel, which is covered by a deed of legal mortgage, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.
The judge granted the bank’s prayer to appoint Ogunba as the receiver-manager of the hotel in order to preserve it’s assets.
He directed the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and their agents to assist Ogunba in the performance of his duties as the receiver-manager.
The judge ordered all the financial institutions in the country as well as other agencies contractually obligated to Milan Industries to furnish Ogunba with details of sums outstanding to the defendant’s credit.
He restrained Milan Industries Limited and his officials from tampering with the company’s funds and assets both within and outside the country pending the outcome of the debt recovery suit.
The judge, however, directed Skye Bank to file an “undertaking to indemnify the defendant should it turn out that this order ought not to have been made.”
He adjourned further proceedings in the case till May 17.

Lagos State Governor Have Asked VIOs Off The Road

Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has ordered the temporary suspension of the Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIOs) from the roads in the state with immediate effect.
According to Vanguard, Ambode has asked the officers to stay away until further notice.
It is understood that the directive is in line with the current administration’s policy of compulsory training and retraining of all public workers.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, in his reaction said: “The truth is the transport ministry is undergoing restructuring, including the VIO.
“The commissioner for transportation had made some recommendations, which he will present at the State Executive Council meeting and things can move forward from there.
“But we all believed that the VIO activities should be technologically driven.”

A 26 year old Benedict Otanwa has been arrested for robbery with his gang. Read his reason for joining armed robbery gang

.He said: “I’m a building engineer. I joined robbery after I was sacked by the company where I was working in Abuja. Our company lost a contract after President Buhari came to power. I was already married; I could no longer provide for my family.

Unfortunately I met one guy, IG and told him about my predicament. He gave me some money. After a while, IG asked me to join him in his business. I asked what it was and he said I should meet him at a junction close to my house.”

When Otanwa got to the junction, he met IG and another man called Oteh. Otanwa said that two members of his church, Sunday and Monday, were also there. Otanwa said: “We moved out. IG showed us a pharmacy.

He said we should rob it. On our way, we saw a Toyota Sienna. IG and Oteh, who had guns with them, went and snatched it from the owner. We later sold it. I was given N5,000 after the vehicle was sold He pleaded saying is poverty that led him into robbery.

Sadly, the law doesn't know poverty. He's on his way to prison.
