Emeka Ike Pleads With Court To Cancel Divorce, Wife Says She Is No Longer Interested In Marriage.

Hey Guyz here is an update on Emeka Ike's divorce gist. Yea the divorce case was held yesterday, Wednesday 22 July at the Lagos Island customary court where his wife opened up on why she wants divorce.  Emanuella Ike said she is done with the marriage and wants to put an end to 12 years of torture.



Emeka Ike's lawyer, Barr. Labi  Lawal who represented him at the court begs the court to cancel the divorce that he is  still interested in his wife. Barrister Labi  Lawal who spoke in Emeka's defense said he couldn't make it to the court due to his failing health.

In his words : "My client is ill but i will try my best possible he comes on the next adjourned date. We indulge the court to give us six months from this this date to see  if there is possibility of settlement between the couple." He  told the presiding judge.
Emmanuella  was against the move of  her estrange husbands lawyer asking for six months, she said Emeka had two years to reconcile but he never did. She said that six months is too long.

Hear what the tearful mother of  four kid said:
"The last time i wanted to speak with our children. It was my mother in-law who picked the call and asked if i have read Exodus 21,which says that if i go i shouldn't return. Emeka Ike took 2 of my children in February when i was going for my mother's burial and promised to bring them back immediately i return from the burial but he didn't.Even when he didn't allow me have access to my children, i spoke with them on several occasions but now he doesn't allow me anymore my children are now against me, she said".
" IF was still with him, i may not survive, i was 19 years-old when i met him , he was the one that deflowered me, i see no reason why i should be treated with utmost respect.

"Due to physical torture my health is being affected, there was even a time i felt i had breast cancer because i felt a lump on one of my breast.
"I almost went mad last Sunday when my first son told me on phone that if i love them i would n t have abandoned them, even my seven  year -old son whose day wouldn't be complete with out seeing me said he doesn't love me, i love my children , i miss my children, i never abandoned them, i am in pain. They don't have any other mother.I really need my children , i am  a good woman; i endured many things as his wife.

Before the court rose, Chief Awoosola who presided over the case said Emeka Ike is only given two weeks to appear in court if he really want settlement.
The case is adjourned till August 12th
