Ekweremadu:Elections Are Over, Stop Playing Politics,Deputy Senate President Tells APC
Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremdu have urged All Progressive Congress to stop playing politics after elections. He also asked the ruling party to focus more on formulating policies and programmes that will benefit majority of Nigerians irrespective political affiliations.
Ekweremadu made the call on Monday July 1,2015, while holding meeting with the members of coalition of Election Observers who visited his office in Abuja.
He says:
"We are about to form legislative agenda for the 8th Senate, this includes electoral reforms. As i said in the beginning we are finished with politics what is remaining now is governance. And this country belongs to all of us and the constituents are not interested if you are APC or PDP."
"What they want is good governance and we must unite as people to give Nigeria a good governance. The issue of bickering and differences does not hold any place in the mind of the people
what they want is performance. What they want is good governance and we must unite."
