In an interview with The Punch Newspaper , Muma Gee when asked if she never thought it could be a joke said she never thought it was a joke because she spoke with him around 2pm same day being Saturday.
" I got to the wedding and discover it had not started , i tried calling him to know why he hurried me up but his phone was unreachable, i thought it was network failure in my phone and asked his colleague to him but it didn't go through , it was unusual of him to switch off his phone. I faked a smile all through the ceremony but was not happy within me. On Sunday i got set to go to church and prayed that God take control of the situation.He had still not return by Sunday evening when i called his elder brother who in turn called other of his siblings"
One of them said he spoke with him while v on his way back to Port Harcourt from Owerri.On Monday on my way back from church on arrival at my gate my phone rang and i saw it was one of his phone numbers. I had already decided within me to get angry or shout when i picked the call. I immediately i picked the call , i asked him where he had been, he said was kidnapped i asked him where he was and he said he didn't know.At that moment i heard a slap on his face. One of the kidnappers picked up the phone and rained abuses on me for asking where he was.He said if i did not raise N15m by Thursday that would be killed and buried, i tried to plead with them but they switched off the phone"
Muma Gee said her husband was released after much prayers. She also thanked her pastor and well wishers for their support during the period.
